Mechanical Engineering · Software · Robotics
Hi, I’m Fiza — I like making machines feel a little more human.
I’m a B.Tech Mechanical Engineering student at Government Engineering College, Thrissur, building at the mixed-up, exciting edge of Python, embedded systems, robotics, assistive tech, and mechanical design.
What I’m about
Useful technology, built with both hands and heart.
I’m drawn to projects where software meets the physical world: robots that move precisely, tools that make life more accessible, and student teams where the best ideas come from messy whiteboards and shared deadlines.
My sweet spot is learning fast, coordinating people, and turning “what if?” into a working prototype.

Selected projects
Small builds, serious intent.
Robotic Arm — Scott Russell Mechanism
Designed and fabricated a robotic arm using a Scott Russell straight-line linkage, rack-and-pinion motion, geared DC motor actuation, Arduino control logic, and 3D printed parts.
Sign to Sound — ASL Speech Aid
Developing a real-time system that translates American Sign Language gestures into audible speech using computer vision and machine learning techniques.
EcoFusion Composite Development
Developed and tested a hybrid natural fibre composite using areca and jute reinforcement with epoxy, including tensile, impact, and flexural evaluation.
Rocker Bogie Mechanism Study
Explored mechanical design principles behind terrain-friendly rover movement through a focused study project.
Beyond coursework
Clubs, teams, and the fun kind of responsibility.
Software team member contributing to sensor integration and software-driven control systems.
Program team executive committee member organizing workshops, seminars, and hands-on engineering events.
Campus committee outreach lead growing participation and entrepreneurship energy on campus.
Creative team member supporting open-source events, promotions, and design collaborations.
College team member and interzone championship winner — proof that coordination matters off-screen too.
